About this event
Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) offers benefits far beyond stormwater management, from improved air and water quality to reduced heat impacts and increased green space. Strong GSI programs also rely on strong GSI workforces – and investing in that workforce can bring benefits of its own, such as strengthening community engagement, employee retention, and service continuity.
But how does one go about investing in this area of their workforce? What partnerships, funding pathways, and practical steps matter most? To answer these questions, this webinar will look at Philadelphia Water Department’s approach to developing a successful GSI workforce program from the ground up. No matter where you are in the process, participants will walk away with tangible steps on how to take their GSI workforce to the next level.
Learning Objectives:
• Recognize the importance of GSI workforce development and the circumstances that make this investment crucial
• Walk away with tangible steps on how to start or improve GSI workforce development
Who Should Attend:
We invite wastewater personnel from small to large systems, as well as planners, landscape architects, consultants, engineers, designers, managers and board members, elected officials, policy experts, citizens, and community groups to join us for this session.
