About this event

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) works to mitigate future risks through community-enforced floodplain management actions. But how do we know where the high-risk flood zones are located? During this 2-hour webinar, participants will be introduced into how flood hazard tools are used for floodplain management purposes, what flood maps are available for local official use, how each of these tools works, and live demonstrations will be given showing the functions of many of the tools. There will also be a life Q&A session at the end of the webinar where attendees can ask questions directly to Kentucky’s NFIP Coordinator.
